DMCIntercom groupsare created by any PACKTALKCUSTOM device. Each group can have up to 15 riders.
When creating agroup, all membersshould be within 5 meters(16 feet).
When you aregetting out of range from the group,avoice message announcesthat the group connection islost,
but your unit remainspart of the group.
If your DMCgroup splitswith somegroup membersremaining in range of each other but not in rangeof all group
members,you can continue speaking with the membersstill in range. Once in rangeof any other group member,
you automatically reconnect.
If you join anew DMCgroup,you automatically leaveyour existing DMCgroup.You can go back to the group with
Cardo Connect App.
5.1.1.1 CREATINGDMCINTERCOM GROUPS
When creating aDMCgroup,you must coordinatewith the other riderswho will be the group creator.When
creating sgroup,all membersshould be within 5 meters(16 feet).
1. All theriderspress for 5 seconds. The LED flashesred and green quickly.
2. After each member joinssuccessfully, the LEDsof the joined unit and the admin'sunit announceshow many
ridersareconnected.
After grouping iscompleted,the DMCIntercom conference startsautomatically.
When switching your unit ON,a voicemessage announceshow many ridersfrom your group are in the range.
To create aDMCgroup with adevicefrom the previousgeneration of DMC, thisdevice first initiatesthe group
asAdmin, and only after PACKTALKCUSTOM devicescan initiate grouping.
5.1.1.2 JOININGDMCINTERCOM GROUPS
You can join or rejoin aDMCIntercom group previously created.
To join an existing DMC group:
1. The group admin allowsthe additional rider by selecting "Add a rider" in theCardo Connect App.
2. Press for 5 seconds.The LED flashesred and green quickly.
The color of the flashing LED indicateswhether you have been added to thegroup:
● Purple: You havesuccessfully joined thegroup.
● Yellow:You cannot join the group because it hasalready reached the maximum number of riders.
● Red:Failed to join.
