1.Movethemachinetoalevelandrmground.
2.Raisetheloaderattachmentandinstallthesafetysup-
portstrut.
3.Placethebackhoeattachmentintheroadtravelposi-
tionorrestitontheground.
4.Placethedirection-of-travelleverandgearshiftleverin
neutralposition.
5.Engagetheparkingbrake.
6.Stoptheengine,removethestarterkey,andallowthe
enginetocooldown.
7.Openandraisetheenginehood.

8.Visuallychecktheconditionofthedrivebelt(1).Re-
placeifitiswornordamaged.Ifnecessary,seere-
placementprocedure7-99.
NOTICE:Afterreplacingthedrivebelt,checkthebeltten-
sionaftertherst10hofoperation.
9.Checkthebelt(1)tension.Thedeectiononthetop
sidemustbecloseto16mm(0.6in).
