Theengineandexhaustsystembecomehotduringoperation.Topreventburns,opentheengine
compartmentandallowthecomponentstocooltoacomfortabletouchtemperaturebeforeyouwork
insidetheenginecompartment.
Failuretocomplycouldresultindeathorseriousinjury.

1.Loosentheventilationpiperetainingclamp.
2.Loosentheventilationpipefromthevalverockercover.
3.Loosenthefasteningnutsandremovethecoverfrom
thevalve.
4.Removethettingofthebreatherpipebyturningita
1/4ofaturncounter-clockwiseandextractingitfrom
thevalvecover.
5.Removetheplug(1)toreleasethelterassemblyfrom
theinsideofthevalvecover.
NOTE:Ifoilstainsclearlyappeararoundthepressurereg-
ulator(2),itisnecessarytoreplacethebreatherlter.

6.Removethescrews(3)fromthepressureregulator(2).
Extractboththeregulatorandthelter(4)fromthe
valvecover.
7.Carefullycleanthevalvecoverbeforeinsertingthenew
regulator,thenewlter,andthenewbreatherpipe.

8.Securetheregulatorwithscrews.Tightentoatorque
of5N·m(3.7lbft).
9.Installanewsealandpositionthevalvecoveronthe
engine.Securethepositionwiththefasteningnuts.
Tightentoatorqueof25N·m(18.4lbft).
