Adjusttherearwindowbeforeactuatingthebackhoe
hydraulics.Therearwindowcouldcomeintocontact
withthecontrollever.
•
Releaseallhydraulicpressurebeforeservicingthema-
chine.
•
Youmustknowwhichcircuitshaveaccumulatorsand
howtoreleasepressureproperly.
•
Alwaysusetheliftarmsupportstrutwhenservicingthe
machinewithliftarmsup.
Whenusingthebackhoe:
•
Positionthestabilizerpadsformaximumstability.
•
Installaguardrailandwarningsignstokeepotherper-
sonsawayfromthemachineifoperatinginanareawith
reducedvisibility,suchasabuilding.
•
Placethedirectioncontrolleverandthetransmissionin
neutralandapplytheparkingbrakebeforeturningthe
operator'sseataroundtothebackhoeposition.
•
Ensuretheseatislockedintoposition.
•
Pilotcontrolmachinesareequippedwithtwobackhoe
controlpatterns.Youmustknowwhichpatternthema-
chineisin,beforeoperatingthemachine(actuatingthe
hydraulics).
•
Usecautionwhenswingingthebackhoecompletelyto
thesidetopreventcontactwiththestabilizers.
