Failure: improper system voltage signal

Connect scanner and commutator, and then turn
ignition switch to “OFF”.

Check battery voltage with a multimeter to see if it
is around 12V.
No

Check respectively the connections between Pin 44,
45, 63 of ECU and Pin 87 of main relay to see if
open circuit or short circuit to ground occurs.
No Go to next step
Yes Go to next step
4
Start engine, check charging voltage of generator at
different engine speeds to see if it maintains within
9-16V.
No
Replace

Check ground point of engine wire harness to see if
it is normal.
No

15, 29 of ECU and supply wire to see if the
resistances are too high.

Start engine, check charging voltage of generator at
different engine speeds to see if it maintains within

Check ground point of engine wire harness to see if
it is in good condition.
