13). Slow response when accelerating

1 Set ignition switch in “ON”. Check with scanner
to see if there is failure information record.

Yes Go to next step 2 Shut down the engine and check if air filter is
smooth.

Yes Go to next step 3 Make engine run at idle speed, and check to see
if rotating speed is normal when idling.

Yes Go to next step 4 Make engine run at idle speed, and check to see
if intake pressure is between 35-65kPa
No Overhaul
Yes Go to next step 5 Switch on ignition switch and connect
commutator between ECU and wire harness to
check the voltages of output signal terminal,
ground terminal and 76#, 60# pins (served as
4.5-5V sensor power) of ECU throttle position
sensor to see if they are in good order.
No Repair or replace

Yes Go to next step 6 Make engine run at idle speed, and check to see
if ignition advance angle is normal after coolant
temperature reaches normal value.
No Check others
Yes Go to next step 7 Connect fuel pressure gauge valve. Strap the
30# and 87# pins of fuel pump relay to make
fuel pump work, and then check if fuel pressure
is at about 350kPa.
No Go to step 11
Yes Go to step 10 8 Provide 12V voltage directly from accumulator
to injector with special connector, and check if
injector is working in good order.
No Go to next step
Yes Go to next step 9 Recheck injector to see if it is working in good
order after cleaning.
No Replace injector
Yes Replace fuel 10 Check if fuel is deteriorated or contains water.
No Go to step 16
Yes Go to next step 11 Check if fuel pressure is lower than 350kPa
No Go to step 15
Yes Go to next step 12 Shut down fuel gauge valve. Switch on ignition
switch again to make fuel pump work once
more, and check if fuel pressure is established.
No Go to step 14
Yes Replace pressure

13 Turn on fuel guage valve, clamp fuel return pipe
with fuel return interceptor to ensure no fuel
return, and check if fuel pressure is formed
rapidly.

14 Check if leakage or clogging occurs in fuel inlet
