Float Plan
Float plans detail your intentions. It describes your course, itinerary, vessel description,
expected date of arrival at your destination, and your expected return time. Leave the plan with a
friend or relative, who in turn can notify the Coast Guard in the event you fail to return.
This appendix contains an example of a float plan, currently in use, that you can copy and utilize.
