Configuring the MPC
This example configures the MPC and binds an LEC to the MPC:
Define the MPC with the name THEMPC, as follows:
mpoa client config name THEMPC

Specify the ATM interface to which the MPC is attached. In this example, the interface is 1/2:
interface ATM 1/2
2.
Associate the interface to the MPC named MYMPC as follows:
mpoa client name MYMPC
3.
Enter Subinterface Configuration mode for the ATM interface that contains the LEC to which you
will bind the MPC:
interface atm 1/2.1
4.
To bind a LANE client to the specified MPC, use this command:5.
lane client mpoa client name MYMPC
Configuring the MPS
The following example shows the proper configuration of the MPS and attaches the MPS to a hardware
interface:
Define the MPS named THEMPS:
mpoa server config name THEMPS
1.
Enter Interface Configuration mode for the ATM interface:
interface ATM 1/1
2.
Attach the MPS called THEMPS to a hardware interface:3.
mpoa server name THEMPS
Changing the MPS Variables
MPS variables affect only a particular MPS. Perform the following tasks starting in MPS Configuration mode:
