l If you are in First Time Setup, System Configuration displays the Security Analytics
and Logging On Prem configuration after you finish configuring Data Store use.
Procedure
1. Select Yes to enable Security Analytics and Logging On Prem, and ingest firewall
event information from your Firepower deployment. Note that this disables
NetFlow collection on your Flow Collector.
After you choose to configure your SMCor Flow Collector for use with
Security Analytics and Logging On Prem, you cannot update the
appliance's configuration to change this. You must RFDthe appliance if
you select the wrong choice. Enable this only if you plan to use
Stealthwatch for Security Analytics and Logging On Prem to store your
Firepower event information.
2. Select No to disable Security Analytics and Logging On Prem. You can ingest
NetFlow on your Flow Collector. You cannot ingest firewall event information from
your Firepower deployment.
3. Select OK to confirm your selection.
This is the last configuration option in First Time Setup. Your appliance restarts
and implements the changes. On completion, the Login page opens.
Data Node Configuration
For Data Nodes, First Time Setup displays the following configuration:
1. Configure the eth0 management physical port
2. Configure the appliance's IPaddress and management information
3. Configure eth2 and eth3 for inter-Data Node communications
Configure the eth0 management physical port
If you configure a Data Node, you can optionally configure eth0 as a BASE-T copper
port, instead of the default SFP+ DAC port. For these appliances, this is the first
configuration in First Time Setup.
Before You Begin
l
