SIRIUS Operation
Presetting
a
category
A category can be preset by registering specific
categories in [DIRECT] keys 1 to
6. Then the
desired category can be recalled by pressing
the corresponding [DIRECT] keys.
1.
Touch the [SUB]
key.
2.
Touch the [ITEM] key to display a category.
3. Touch the [
.....
]
or
[
..
] on the screen to select
the desired category on the screen.
4. Touch the category you wish to store in
memory.
5.
Touch the [PRESET] key to open the preset
screen.
6. Touch and hold down for 2 seconds
or
longer
the Preset No. key you wish to store
in
memory.
Notes:
• When the name
of
a channel stored in memoryis
changed
by
a broadcasting station, the display
may
show a channel name that differs from the
stored name.
• A channel stored in memory
may
be discontinued
at
the option
of
the broadcasting station.
Scan.
function
There are two scan modes: a category scan
mode and a preset scan mode.
During scanning channels are displayed
in
abbreviated form and the display mode cannot
be switched.
•
Category
scanning
In
a category scan, broadcast channels in the
same category as the current channel are
selected about every 10 seconds.
1.
Touch the [SUB]
key.
2.
Touch the [SCAN]
key.
Note:
• Category scanning is notavailable when
no
category is defined for the current channel.
•
Preset
scan
A preset scan scans the channels (up to 18
channels) stored in the preset memory about
every 10 seconds.
1.
Touch the [LIST)
key.
2.
Touch the [PS}
key.
Other Functions
Entering titles
Titles up to 10 characters long can be stored
in
memory and displayed for Radio stations, CD,
TV
stations and CD changer. The numbers of
titles that can be entered for each mode are as
follows.

cannot enter titles with the unit

Seek,

Cancel
each
of
those operations before entering titles.
1. Press the [SOURCE] button to select the
mode you want to enter a title (TUNER, CD,
CD-changer or TV).
2. Select and
playa
CD in the CD changer or a
CD track or tune in to a Radio station
or
a
TV
station for which you want to enter the title.
3. Touch the screen (TV mode only).
4.
Touch the [LIST] key to display the LIST
screen.
5. Touch the [USER
TIL]
key.
The title input mode display appears.
6. Touch the characters, symbols, etc. shown
in
the display to input titles.

: Scroll
Notes:
•
Up
to 10 characters can be input.
•
To
switch the character types, touch the scroll key
('Y)
at
the lower left
of
the display.
7. Repeat the step 6 to enter the complete title.
8.
Touch the [MEMO] key for 2 seconds or
longer to store the title into memory and
cancel title input mode.
