15.2.3 Operation
15.2.3.1 Freeze Protection
Protect the unit from freezing.
15.2.3.2 Failure Mode
In the event that the PLD Speed Control
System fails, the system will de-activate
itself and return the engine to rated speed.
When this failure occurs, an indicating light
and message will be displayed on the
Powerview gauge on the engine instrument
panel (See Figure #26). An alarm signal
will also be sent to terminal #302 of the fire
pump controller. Investigate the cause and
make necessary corrections to resolve
problem (See Troubleshooting section for
more detail).
NOTE: Once the failure is fixed the PLD
speed control system will be re-activated
automatically.
