Important information
The following points should be observed
without fail for reliable use, satisfactory
operation and a long service life of your
Closomat
®
:
For reliable use
• Assume the correct sitting position when
using the douche:
upper body upright, relaxed, back of seat
opening covered by the buttocks.
• The head should never be lowered into
the WC pan: there is danger of injury if
the douche function is operated
simultaneously.
• Never watch douche function without
checking cover, in order to prevent
inadvertent facial douche and water
splashing everywhere.
• Use the Closomat
®
exclusively either
as a normal WC or as douche WC to clean
the anal area.
• Speak with your doctor about a
precautionary examination of the bowels.
Should it be necessary to examine the
stool to identify any traces of blood or to
take a stool sample, you are recommen-
ded to proceed as follows. When you go
to the toilet, sit down the other way round
to usual, with your face to the wall, such
that the stool remains temporarily on the
forward, flatter section of the bowl.
• The Closomat
®
douche should not be used
following surgery or with open wounds in
the anal or genital areas until healing is
sufficiently far advances. Seek the advice
of your doctor.
