NOTE:
Thefollowingprocedures(1),(6)-(8)and(11)-(12)aredonebytowbarlesstractordriver,the
procedure(2)-(5),(9)-(10)and(13)aredonebyaircraftmaintenanceperson.
(1)Thetowbarlesstractorisbraking.
(2)Makesurethewheelchocksareremoved.
(3)Makesurethatparkingbrakeisreleased.
(4)MakesureEICASappears:TOWINGPERMITTED,noticethemaintenanceongroundtobegin
thetowing.
(5)Noticethetowbarlesstractordrivertotowtheaircraft.
(6)T owtheaircraft.
(7)T owtheaircraftslowlystraightaheadbeforeyoutrytoturn.
(8)T owtheaircraftstraightaheadforatleast12m(39.5ft)beforecompletingthetowing.
NOTE:
Thiswillremovethestressesthatremaininthetiresandtheshockstruts.
(9)Attheendoftowing,putthewheelchocksforeandaftofthemainlandinggeartiresandthe
noselandinggeartires.
(10)Theaircraftsetparkingbrake.
(11)Thetowbarlesstractorreleasesthebrakes.
(12)Separatethetowbarlesstractorfromtheaircraft.
(13)PushtheNWSdisarmingswitchtoARMposition,andclosetheexternalpowerreceptacleac-
