Periodogram
The periodogram was developed based on the Sokolove Matlab function which
in turn was created based on the work entitled "The Chi Square Periodogram:
Its Utility for Analysis of Circadian Rhythms" of Sokolove and Bushell, 1978.
The periodogram is calculated based on the following formula:
The function was modified to compute the values between the range 0 and 1,
and was developed based on the following work:
