functions
of the
Contax
167MT including
automatic
film winding
and
rewinding,
shutter operation
and
display
panel
are
battery-powered. The
camera does
not
operate unless
batteries are
loaded
in it.

Loosen the
Battery
Compartment Cover Screw
on
the
camera
bottom
with
a coin and
remove the cover.

Insert four
batteries
with
the
plus
(+)and
minus
(-)
ends correctly,
as
illustrated inside
the Battery
Compartment.
The camera
does
not
operate if
they are
loaded with
wrong
(+)and (-)
ends.
To replace
the battery compartment
cover, fit
the
guide
pin
on the camera
to the
hole in
the cover,
close it and
lock it
with
the
fixing
screw.
The
camera uses four 1.5 V AM-size
batteries. lt is
recommended
to
use
high-performance
alkaline-
manganese
batleries,
because some
of
its functions
such
as continuous
shooting are affected
by the battery
performance.
