ELECTRICAL HOOK-UP
The wheel balancer has been programmed by the manufacturer to operate on 220 Volt.
The set-up data for each machine are given on the machine data plate and on a special
label attached to the power supply connection cable.
On the rear wall of the wheel balancer there is a metal guard that covers a switch used to
check and change the electric setting of the wheel balancer to 220 Volt or 110 Volt.
To change this setting:
- Loosen a screw to get access to the selection switch (fig. 5);
- Rotate the metal casing (fig. 6);
- Change the position of the switch to 110 Volt (fig. 7);
- Close the metal casing.

WARNING
Any connections to the workshop electrical panel are the customer's responsability, and
must be made by staff qualified in accordance with the relevant legal requirements.
- The electrical hook-up must be performed according to:
the electric power absorbed by the machine, as indicated on the machine data
plate.
the distance between the machine and the power supply hook-up point, so that volt-
age drops under full load do not exceed 4% (10% when starting up) of the rated voltage
specified on the data plate.
- The user must:
mount a plug compliant with the relevant safety standards on the power supply cable;
connect the machine to its own electrical connection fitted with an appropriate 30-mA
current sensitive circuit breaker
mount power line protection fuses, suitably sized according to the specifications indi-
cated on the main wiring diagram contained in this manual
provide the workshop electrical installation with an efficient grounding system.
- To prevent unauthorised use of the machine, always disconnect the mains plug when
the machine is not used (switched off) for extended periods of time.
- If the machine is connected directly to the power supply through the main electrical
board and without the use of a plug, a key-operated or padlockable switch must be
installed to restrict machine use to qualified personnel only.
