Response Reject Count for Slave Connection
To set the default response reject count for the slave processor connections, issue
the ETHSLVCONNFCNT command:
• Syntax: ETHSLVCONNFCNT [CONNECTFAILEDCOUNT]
o CONNECTFAILEDCOUNT: Sets the default slave connect response reject
count. The slave stops connecting after this number of connect
response rejections.
o No parameter: Displays the current response reject count
• Example: ETHSLVCONNFCNT 6
The ETHSLVCONNFCNT command sets the number of response rejections that
must occur following unsuccessful connection attempts before the slave reverts
back to its normal operating mode. The default count is 100, with each count
occurring every 10 seconds.
For example, if the count is set to "6", the slave would revert back to normal
roughly a minute after the first response rejection.
This command can be used in a scenario where a particular IP address is active
but does not have a program that listens to that ID.
Slave Connection Timeout
To set the default timeout setting for slave connection, use the
ETHSLVCONNTIMEOUT command:
• Syntax: ETHSLVCONNTIMEOUT [TIMEOUTINSEC]
o TIMEOUTINSEC: Sets the duration (in seconds) before the slave
connection times out and the slave returns to its normal operating
mode
o No parameter: Displays the current timeout settings
• Example: ETHSLVCONNTIMEOUT 120
The ETHSLVCONNFCNT command sets the timeout duration before the slave
reverts back to its normal operation mode if a TCP/IP connection to the master
cannot be established.
This command can be used in a scenario where a slave attempts to connect to a
nonexistent IP address or to a master that is not running.
