2.1.7 Change Password
To change the password, choose the PASSWORD SETTING option from the setup
main menu and press <Enter>.
1. If the CMOS is bad or this option has never been used, a default password is
stored in the ROM. The screen will display the following message:
Press <Enter>.
2. If the CMOS is good or this option has been used to change the default password,
the user is asked for the password stored in the CMOS. The screen will display the
following message:
Enter the current password and press <Enter>.
3. After pressing <Enter> (ROM password) or the current password (user-defined),
you can change the password stored in the CMOS. The password can be at most
eight (8) characters long.
Remember – to enable this feature, you must first select either Setup or System in the
BIOS FEATURE SETUP.
