7. Install the new heart rate grips.
Using the needle nose pliers, carefully connect the heart rate wire to each grip. A. NOTE: Ensure
that the red heart rate wire is connected to the top grip and the black heart rate wire is connected
to the bottom grip. See Figures 25 and 26.
Place the top grips, bottom grips and cap in the correct position on the handrail. See Figure 25.B.
Using a Phillips screwdriver, install the two screws securing the bottom grips. SeeC. Figure 25.
9. Connect the cables removed in step 3A.
Confi rm that the two cables and one molex placeholder are fi rmly connected to the heart A.
rate board in their proper places. See Figure 24.
10. Secure the console back.
While being sure not to pinch any cables, use a Phillips screwdriver to secure the nine screws A.
that hold the console back to the console front.
11. Connect the external power source.
Plug the treadmill into the power outlet.A.
12. Calibrate speed (if you replaced the display board).
Follow the A. Speed Calibration procedure located in this chapter.
CSAFE Board
Tools Required
Phillips screwdriver•
1. Disconnect the external power source.
Turn the main power switch on the left side to the off (O) position.A.
Unplug the treadmill from the power outlet.B.
2. Remove the console back.
NOTE: If you have a cable plugged into the RJ-45 port disconnect it.
Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove the nine screws that hold the console back to the console A.
front.
Gently pull off the console back. B.
3. Remove the old CSAFE board.
Pull the CSAFE connector out of the display board. See Figure 23. A.
Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove the three screws that hold the CSAFE board to the console.B.
4. Attach the new CSAFE board.
