Display Overlays
NOTE: This procedure will cover the upper and/or lower display overlay. They are removed and replaced
the same on the Cybex Pro+ treadmill.
Tools Required
Phillips screwdriver •
ESD (Electro Static Discharge) grounding strap•
Razor blade•
1. Disconnect the external power source.
Turn the main power switch on the left side to the off (O) position.A.
Unplug the treadmill from the power outlet.B.
2. Remove the console back.
Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove the nine screws that hold the console back to the console A.
front.
Gently pull off the console back. B.
Loosen the six screws that hold the front console in place. C. NOTE: This allows clearance for the
switch membranes to fi t behind the handrail.
NOTE: The display board is susceptible to damage from a discharge of static electricity. While handling
parts underneath the console cover use an ESD grounding strap. This eliminates the potential
voltage (static) difference between you and the equipment you are working on. Wear an ESD
strap for the rest of this procedure.
3. Remove the display overlay.
While wearing an ESD strap, disconnect the switch membranes (two upper and one lower) A.
from the display board. See Figure 23.
Use a razor blade to peel up a corner of the display overlay and pull off the overlay.B.
4. Attach the display overlay.
Remove the paper backing from the new display overlay.A.
Slide the ribbon cable through the (upper two or lower one) slot. B.
Carefully place the display overlay in position within the indentation on the console front and fi rmly C.
rub the display overlay so that it adheres to the console.
Route the ribbon cables under the frame tubes and connect them to the display board.D.
