4.14 Discharge Pipe Temperature Control

Detection
An error is determined with the temperature detected by the discharge pipe thermistor.
Malfunction
Decision
Conditions
If the temperature detected by the discharge pipe thermistor rises above 120°C (248°F), the
compressor stops.
The error is cleared when the discharge pipe temperature has dropped below 107°C (224.6°F).
If the error repeats, the system is shut down.
Reset condition: Continuous run for about 60 minutes without any other error

Defective electronic expansion valve or coil
Refrigerant shortage
Defective four way valve
Water mixed in refrigerant

Replace the defective
thermistor.
Replace the electronic
expansion valve or the coil.
Refer to the refrigerant line
check procedure.
Replace the outdoor unit
PCB.
Be sure to turn off the power switch before connecting or disconnecting
connectors, or parts may be damaged.
