Installing the GPS board
1. Place the GPS board into the slot on the computer.
2. Tighten the screw to secure the GPS board to the computer.
3. Connect the antenna cable to the connector on the GPS board.
4. Connect the GPS board cable to the connector.
5. Install:
a. base cover
b. optical drive
c. hard drive
d. battery
6. Follow the procedure in After working inside your computer.
Heat sink
Removing the heatsink
1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
2. Remove the:
a. battery
b. hard drive
c. optical drive
d. base cover
e. docking board
f. GPU board
g. SIM module
3. To remove the heatsink:
a. Loosen the screws that secure the heatsink to the system board [1, 2, 3, 4].
NOTE:
Loosen the screws in the order of the callout numbers [1, 2, 3, 4]. These screws are retention screws and
cannot be fully removed.
b. Lift and remove the heatsink from the computer.
