Removing the heat-sink and fan assembly
Prerequisites
1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
2. Remove the side cover.
3. Remove the front bezel.
4. Remove the 3.5/2.5-inch hard-drive assembly.
5. Remove the hard-drive and optical-drive bracket.

Steps
1. Disconnect the fan cable.
2. Loosen the four captive screws that secure the heat-sink and fan assembly to the system.
3. Lift the heat-sink and fan assembly from the system.
