Figure 4-1 shows the default Switch Independent Partitioning function settings.

In NPAR configurations with teaming on ESXi 5.1 and ESXi 5.5, QLogic
recommends setting the driver module parameter defq_filters to 0 by
issuing the following command, and then rebooting the system for the
setting to take effect.
esxcfg-module –s defq_filters=0
This setting enables the driver-provided MAC learning to be used rather
than the vmkernel-provided callback to notify vMAC addresses.
