n Program List Menu
The Program List Menu contains the following items.
Item Explanation
Preview Previews the selected track or file.
Insert
Registers the track or file to the
Program List.
Remove
Removes the track or file from the
Program List.
Remove All
Removes all tracks or files from the
Program List.
Load
Reads the Program List saved onto
a USB memory stick, etc.
Save
Saves the set Program List onto a
USB memory device , etc.
n Editing registered programs

While DN-501C is stopped, select the track that you
want to edit from the “Program List” display.

Select “Remove” from the “Program List Menu”.
The selected file is deleted from the program.
• Only tracks on the CD and USB can be registered to the program.
Files on an iPod cannot be registered to the program.
• A maximum of 99 tracks can be registered to a program.
• Select “Remove All” to delete all of the registered programs.
n Canceling program playback

Set “Program” in the preset menu to “Off”.

Press MENU.
Confirm the settings.
Playing back from track hot points
(Hot Start playback)
You can use the HOT1 to 5 buttons on the DN-501C panel for hot start
playback.

Select “Hot List” from the menu.
“Hot List” is displayed.
• If there are no tracks registered to
HOT1 to 5, tracks are not
displayed.

Press the jog dial.
The “Hot List Menu” is displayed.

Register tracks.
Select “Set”, “Auto mapping” or “Load”. When “Set” is
selected, continue to select tracks.

Select “Execute” and register les to the “Hot List”.

Press MENU to exit the “Hot List”.
• Press 2 to cancel the operation and return to the playback screen.

Press Hot 1 to 5 and the hot start button on the
external remote control.
The track registered to the selected number is played back.
Registering a selected track to the Hot list

When a track is stopped or paused, press the HOT
SET
button while holding down the SHIFT button.
“Hot Number xx” is displayed.

Enter the hot list number that you want to register
and press the jog dial.
The track is registered to the entered number.
• If the track is registered in the paused or cued state, information
from that playback position is registered.
q Hot List
Displays the tracks currently registered to Hot Start.

Auto Mapping
The first 20 tracks are
automatically assigned from the
currently selected folder.
Set
Registers the track or file in the Hot
List.
Remove
Removes tracks and files from the
Hot List.
Remove All
Removes all tracks and files from
the Hot List.
Load
Reads hot lists from a device such
as a USB memory stick.
Save
Saves the hot lists set to a USB
memory stick.
