Set the HDMI output terminal corresponding with
the HDMI control function.

GUI
menu, set "HDMI Setup" - "HDMI Control" (m:ff'page
26).
*The HDMI control function will
work
only on one of the 2 HDMI
output terminals on the DVD-A1UDCI.

Set the HDMI control function for all equipment
connected
by
HDMI cable.
On
the
GUI
menu, set the DVD-A1
UDCI
with "HDMI Setup"
- "HDMI Control" (m:ff'page
26).
*Please refer to the owner's manual
as
regards setting of connected
devices.
*Carry out Steps 2 and 3 should any of the equipment
be
unplugged.

To
ensure that the DVD-AIUDCI's HDMI video
output is projected on the
TV
screen, change the
input function
of
the
TV
and
AV
Amp.

When you turn the
TV's
power to standby, check that
the power
of
the DVD-AIUDCI and
AV
Amp
also goes
on standby.
If the HDMI control function does not operate properly, check the
following points.

Amp compatible with the HDMI control

ols the setting of the DVD-A1UDCI's HDMI output terminal
correct!

equipment

oAfter setting, did you add another HDMI device connection

this case, perform setting
again.
When you make
an
HDMI connection with a
TV
or
AV
Amp compatible
with DVD-A1
UDCI
and HDMI control functions. you can perform the
following operations by setting the HDMI control function of each
device.
o Operating the DVD-A1UDCI via the TV's remote
control.
(When the TV's remote control
has
player operation buttons)
o Turning
off
the
TV's
power
turns
the
DVD-A1UDCl's
power
to
standby.
HDMI
Control
Function
o
TV
or
AV
Amp power
is
turned
on
by operating
the DVD-A1UDCI, and functions change with DVD-
A1UDCI input.

oThe HDMI control function controls operations
of
a
TV
that
is
compatible with the HDMI control function. Make sure that the
TV
and HDMI are connected when you perform HDMI control.
oSome functions may not operate depending
on
the connected
TV
or
AV
Amp. Check the owner's manual
of
each device for details
beforehand.
oWhen "Other Setup" - "Power Saving" on the
GUI
menu
is
set
to "Power Saving Standby" or "Normal Standby" (m:ff'page 32).
the player's power cannot be turned on using the HDMI control
function.
oWhen "HDMI Setup" - "HDMI Control" - "Power
Off
Control" on the
GUI
menu is set to
"Off"
(m:ff'page
26).
the DVD-AlUDCI

to standby even if the connected device
is
in
the standby mode.
