Why does my DEXIS NOMAD Pro 2 X-ray image lack sufficient contrast?
    • A
      Alison DiazAug 17, 2025
Insufficient contrast in a DEXIS Dental equipment X-ray image can result from underexposure (image too light) or overexposure (image too dark). If the image is too light, increase the exposure time. For images that are too dark, decrease the exposure time and check the film expiration date. Also, ensure chemical freshness and proper temperature for the chemical developer.

      George JonesAug 20, 2025
If your DEXIS Dental equipment doesn't turn on, first ensure the handset is securely attached. If that doesn't work, remove the handset and check the charge status by looking at the top red window adjacent to the unit label, then pull and hold the trigger. You can also try with the second handset.

Why is my DEXIS NOMAD Pro 2 charging cradle showing red LEDs?
    • J
      Jeremy RodgersAug 22, 2025
If your DEXIS Dental equipment charging cradle shows red LEDs, here's what it could mean: * Alternate Red and Green LEDs during startup: This is normal. * Solid red LEDs with no handset: There may be Infra Red (IR) communication interference. Unplug the power, wait 5 seconds, and reconnect. * Solid red LEDs with a handset: There may be intermittent interference. Remove the handset, wait 5 seconds, and replace it. * Flashing red LEDs: The handset has been stored above its operating temperature. Remove the handset and allow it to cool.

How to fix a DEXIS NOMAD Pro 2 handset that won't charge (no flashing green bars)?
    • J
      James GarrettAug 28, 2025
If the DEXIS Dental equipment handset doesn't begin to charge (no flashing green bars), and the green power circle is illuminated, the handset may be in over-discharge sleep mode. To resolve this, leave the handset on the charger, unplug the power cord from the rear of the charging cradle, wait 5 seconds, and reconnect. If the green power circle is illuminated and the above wakeup procedure does not help, an older charger may be incompatible with the newer KaVo or DEXIS Handset.

A blurred image from a DEXIS Dental equipment X-ray exposure is caused by combined movements of operator and patient during exposure producing too much distortion. Check the exposure time setting and re-enable when operator and patient are again properly situated.
