Gas Only Control Board
GAS ONLY BOARDS
Check for power on the brown wire. If there is
no power on the brown wire, the problem is
not with the board.
37
• Check the thermostat for problems. 27
• Check the thermal cut-off for problems. 26
• Confirm the wall switch(es) is operational.
• Confirm the wall switch(es) is wired
correctly.
• Confirm there is a minimum of 10.5 VDC
at the switch(es).
28
Check for power going out to the gas
solenoid valve from the control board on
the red wire. Unplug the electrode from the
ignitor on the control board and cycle.
• If you have no power on the red wire
when the electrode is unplugged,
replace the control board.
37
• If you have power on the red wire when
the electrode is unplugged, replace the
electrode.

GAS/ELECTRIC COMBINATION BOARDS
Confirm there is power at the white wire when
electric is turned to On and/or there is power
at the orange wire when the gas is turned to
On. If no power is present, the problem is
not with the control board. Check the wall
switch(es).
15
• Confirm the wall switch(es) is operational.
• Confirm the wall switch(es) is wired
correctly.
• Confirm there is a minimum of 10.5 VDC
at the switch(es).
41
Confirm there is power at the brown wire at
the top of the control board and no power at
the brown wire at the bottom of the control
board. If this scenario is true, the problem
is not with the control board. Check the
following:
15
• Is the thermostat an open circuit? 27
• Is the thermal cut-off an open circuit? 26
Confirm there is power at the brown wire at
the bottom of the control board and no power
at the yellow wire when electric is turned to
On or at the red wire if the gas is turned to On.
If this scenario is true, check the following:
15
• Confirm that the 2 A fuse on the control
board is not blown.
