Check/Action Remedy
Too low system
pressure due to
pump failure.
3
Broken driving belt.
Too low system
pressure due to
faulty pressure
regulator valve (very
rare).
4
Measure the system pres-•
sure (see “Pump system”
and g ...)
Measure the capacity of the •
pump by measuring the total
ow of reject and permeate
water.
Ensure there is not a prob-•
lem with the setting of the
pressure regulating valve by
very gently tightening the
pressure regulating valve
until a small resistance is
noticed.
restore the setting of the
valve.
Check status of the driving •
belt and driving wheels.
The pump is OK if the:
System pressure is 15±1 bar. x
Total pump capacity is x
RO400: approx. 5.5 litres/minute
RO600: approx. 7.7 litres/minute.
Inlet water temperature is OK. x
If the flow is not regained by descaling/disin-
fection - change the membrane, see “SERV-
ICE”.
If the capacity of the pump is too low and the
adjustment of the pressure regulating valve
does not increase system pressure - change the
pump, see “SERVICE”.
If only a short period of time has elapsed
between service and replacement of the pump
or membrane, ensure that the:
Requirement of inlet water is fulfilled. x
Particle content of the water is not too high. x
Inlet pressure shut down is not frequent. x
Low pressure shut down works by closing x
the valve to the inlet water and checking that
the product stops.
Replace the driving belt or driving wheels if
they seem damaged.
Change the pressure regulating valve (A very
unusual reason for low ow). The status of the
pressure regulator valve is difcult to test.
