Technician Spare Parts List
This document contains spare parts description for Laser 7000 series.
IT IS RESERVED FOR A TECHNICIAN USE AND MUST NOT BE DISTRIBUTED TO ANY CUSTOMER.
Safety Instructions
USE OF CONTROLS OR ADJUSTMENTS OR PERFORMANCE OF PROCEDURES OTHER THAN THOSE
SPECIFIED IN THE MANUALS MAY RESULT IN HAZARDOUS RADIATION EXPOSURE.
Read carefully the laser manuals and especially safety precautions before any
maintenance operations.
Markem-Imaje 7000 has been subjected to rigorous and extensive safety checks and is
manufactured to the following standards for laser systems:
EN 60825.1: Radiation safety of laser products, equipment classification, requirements
and users guide
EN 60204.1: Safety of machinery. Electrical Equipment of machines. General
requirements
EN 60950: Safety of information technology equipment
When properly installed, with all guarding in place and safety interlocks fitted, the
equipment is inherently safe and may be used under class 1 operating conditions.
Nevertheless, all safety precautions, detailed elsewhere in the 7000 manuals, must be
strictly adhered to. All users of the equipment should be thoroughly familiar with the
7000 manuals and all hazards associated with the equipment as well with the
recommendation of EN 60824.1. The operator must name the safety officer.
The laser becomes a class 4 product and thus if, during the course of maintenance or
service it becomes necessary to open any parts of the equipment, then class 4
conditions will immediately apply. Any such maintenance or service must only be
carried out by trained personnel who are familiar with the hazards associated with this
type of laser. Any maintenance or service work to which class 4 operating conditions
apply should be performed only in areas with limited access, posted with the laser
warning triangle. All other personnel must be excluded from the vicinity of the
equipment.
Maintenance personnel must undergo regular eye checks.
