Starting the laser
Start the Laser
Measure laser power and adjust “laser activation level” in specific technician menu to
have an output power of 30 W.
Create the customer's message by using the right laser settings and according to the
substrate and the conveyor speed.
Install the laser head towards the product to be mark at the appropriate focus distance
and in its production position and set the ‘head level’ parameter
Once the installation is definitive, validate the message layout in production condition.
Once the message layout is validated, start a production follow-up and start your
installation validation. If the speed of the line is variable, test the printer at the
maximum speed.
Do not leave the laser switched “ON”, before giving the operator training (1 day
minimum and 4 people maximum)
Giving documentation (level class 1 installation condition)
When the physical installation is performed, please use the “Installation validation checklist”
in order to control the installation rules for the Laser technology.
Step 4: Basic instruction
The field service engineer gives Basic Instruction to the customer .
The instruction takes 2 to 3 hours. Number of attendees should be limited (5 maximum).
Customer training package are available on planet.
Step 5: Installation validation
Before leaving the customer :
Installation/intervention report + installation certificate form should be signed by
the customer. In the case where the customer has to finish the installation by himself,
ask him to note this down on the installation report
Delivery order has to be signed by the customer,
Send the OOBCL form to the local after-sales manager,
Schedule a phone call with your contact to verify that his expectations, under a
production situation, have been met.
When you are back in the office :
Don’t forget to call your customer as planned to check if everything is working well
Inform your sales colleagues of how the installation went so that they have current
information for the next time they visit the customer
