The most critical parameter is the combination of pitch* and speed. Because the beam draws
characters and follows the product movement, it has to be back to its original position when
the next product arrives. The time to track the product depends on the speed of the target
product. The faster the product moves, the longer is the tracking and longer must be the
pitch.
* pitch: distance from the beginning of the mark to the beginning of the next one.
Deviating system limitations
More than the number of lines, it is more the number and the size of characters that affect
speed performance of the laser 7000. The marking time is dependent on the Mark speed.
Laser 7000 tracks the product during its movement. The tracking distance depends on the
line speed (speed of the product movement): the higher is the line speed, longer will be the
tracking distance.
On the other hand, it could be possible that the line process limits the tracking distance, so
the number of characters contained in the mark. It is the case, when marking into bottle
labeling machine, the time to mark is reduced because of the rotation movement of the
bottles on the main carrousel leading to focus loss during the bottle movement.
When laser 7000 marks on conveyor, the tracking direction is perfectly perpendicular to the
product movement. So, the complete tracking distance available may be used.
