Inserting a new O2 sensor capsule
The terminology for the O2 sensor has changed.
1 Remove the O2 sensor (A) from the inspiratory
valve.
2 Unscrew the screw cap (C) from the O
2 sensor
housing.
3 Take the new O
2 sensor capsule from the
package.
4 Place the O
2 sensor capsule (B) in the O2
sensor housing so that the ring-shaped
conductors touch the contacts in the O
2 sensor
housing.
5 Screw on the screw cap (C) tightly by hand.
6 Insert the O
2 sensor (A) back in the inspiratory
valve.
WARNING
Risk of electric shock
If the O
2 sensor capsule is replaced during
operation, leakage currents may be
transferred.
Do not touch the patient.

Risk of incorrect O2 measurement
An incorrectly fitted O
2 sensor capsule will
result in incorrect measurements.
– Make sure that the O2 sensor capsule is
correctly inserted in the O
2 sensor
housing.
– Make sure that the O
2 sensor is correctly
inserted in the inspiratory valve.
