Testing the »Paw alarm
1 Turn the »MV« knob to approx. 10 L/min.
2 Turn the »Freq.« knob to approx. 20 breaths per
minute.
3 Turn the »Paw« knob to 40 mbar.
4 Hold the test lung in the squeezed position and watch
the pressure gauge:
• Oxylog 1000 limits the airway pressure to approx.
40 mbar.
5 The »Paw J T « indicator turns red, and the audible
alarm is sounded.
4 Release the test lung.
5 The »Paw J T « indicator and audible alarm are
deactivated.

alarm muting
With the existing setting
6 Remove the test lung from the ventilation valve:
7 The red »Paw J~ « indicator is displayed,
and the audible alarm is sounded.
8 Press the »<&« button.
• The »Paw J ~« remains red;
the audible alarm is muted for about 2 minutes.
9 The indicator »<& « turns yellow to indicate that the
alarm tone has been muted for about 2 minutes.
After about 2 minutes:
• the audible alarm is reactivated.
6 Refit the test lung:
7 The »Paw J~ « indicator and audible alarm are
deactivated.
