Checking Compact Breathing
System
• Ensure that the compact
breathing system (1) is connected
and the ventilator is locked in place.
• Check status of CO
2
absorbent (2), breathing bag
and patient hoses.
In Addition …
• Test the oxygen ush (3).
• Check oxygen safety control (4).
• Make sure vaporisers are in
position, locked and lled (5).
• Check water trap level and the
sample gas line connection (6).
• Check function of suction
system (7). Your suction system may
differ from the system shown.
• Connect anaesthetic gas
scavenging system.
