TD-25M EXTRA DRESSTA
BLADE DOUBLE TILT AND PITCH CYLINDER
20. INSTALLATION
1. Attach a hoist sling (6) to the blade double tilt and pitch cylinder (1, Fig. 10C.27) as was done
in removal procedure.
2. Position the housing eye of the double tilt and pitch cylinder into the bracket on the push arm
at L.H. side of the machine. Install pin (7) into push arm bracket and secure with hardware.
3. Install cylinder rod ball in socket of blade (3). Install socket cap (2) and evenly tighten bolts
to 270 [Nm]. Measure gap between socket cap and socket and remove bolts. Install a shims
pack of measured gap plus an additional shim for clearance. Each shim is 0.75 [mm] thick.
Install bolts with washers and torque to 845 [Nm]. Remove the hoist sling (6).
4. Connect two hoses (4) to blade double tilt and pitch cylinder (1) and install hose clamp (5) to
double tilt and pitch cylinder.
5. Vent the hydraulic system and add oil as necessary, refer to the OPERATOR'S MANUAL.
Visually check for oil leakage.
6. Cycle cylinder a few times and recheck cylinder and cover bolts torque.
7. Install center guard (4, Fig. 10C.26), lower guard (2) and upper guard (3) to the blade double
tilt/pitch cylinder (1).
RIPPER LIFT AND PITCH CYLINDERS
21. REMOVAL
WARNING! Before working at the machine, be sure that the blade and ripper have
been lowered to the ground, engine is OFF, the drive train control lock lever is in
locked (ON) position and parking brake is set. The starting switch and the electrical
system master switch are turned OFF, keys are removed and the controls are
tagged to prevent inadvertent engine starting.
IMPORTANT: Disconnected hydraulic lines must be capped with the correct size plastic cap.
If caps are not available, use tape or rubber stoppers. Openings must never be plugged with rags.
This practice could introduce dirt or lint into critical hydraulic components. Tag all disconnected
lines to facilitate proper installation.
Ripper Lift Cylinder Removal
1. Remove bolts and plate securing pin (7, Fig. 10C.34) to toolbeam (8).
2. Disconnect rod end hose (10) from pitch cylinder (11). Remove tube clamp and disconnect
head end tube (12) from pitch cylinder (11).
3. Lift ripper pitch cylinder (2, Fig. 10C.35) and secure to fuel tank holder (1).
4. Disconnect rod end hose (3, Fig. 10C.34) from lift cylinder (9). Remove tube clamp and
disconnect head end tube (2) from lift cylinder (9).
5. Attach a hoist to lift cylinder. Hoist must be installed to give the best possible balance. Place
tension on the sling.
6. Remove bolts and plate securing pin (6) to toolbeam (8). Using a pry bar move pin outward
until rod eye is clear.
7. Remove bolts and plate securing pin to frame (4). Using a pry bar move pin outward until
housing eye is clear.
8. Remove lift cylinder (9) from ripper.
