6. To select the horizontal rotor press the START
(START 1 for VFD-Plus) twice.
7. Press the OPEN/STOP button once to save the
setting.
8. The centrifuge will then beep once or twice
indicating the rotor selection that was just
entered.
a. 642VES only: will display either ‘Fixed’ or
‘Horiz’ to indicate the selected rotor. Verifying

1. Power off the centrifuge.
2. Press and hold OPEN/STOP.
3. While continuing to hold this buttons power the
centrifuge on.
4. Release the OPEN/STOP button.
5. The centrifuge will then beep once or twice
indicating the rotor selection.

With proper care and maintenance your centrifuge
will provide years of laboratory service. For proper
care, the following steps should be taken:
1. Provide Adequate Ventilation: For cooling
purposes, the centrifuge draws in ambient air
through the air intake cover on the top of the lid
and exhausts this air in the rear of the base. The
centrifuge should be placed on a hard smooth
surface for good air circulation.
