OPERATION – ELECTRIC STARTER (ACCESSORIES)
1. Make sure that the forward/reverse lever is in
neutral.
2. Make sure that vibration control is in neutral.
Starting the engine
1. Set the throttle to allow the engine to idle for a
minute or so.
2. Move the throttle to the bottom position to stop the
engine.
3. Turn the ignition key to zero.

3. Set the throttle at full throttle.
4. Turn the ignition key to the ignition mode. The
control lamps for charging (10) and oil pressure
(11) should then light.
5. Turn the ignition key to the start mode and release
the key as soon as the engine fires.
If the engine fails to start, turn the key to zero
and wait 5 to 10 seconds before making a new
attempt to start (Fitted with electronic starting
protection module).
6. Allow the engine to idle a few minutes before rev-
ving up to full power.
