7. Plug the sensor into the pulse oximeter and verify proper
operation.
NOTE:
To verify correct placement of the sensor on the site,
manually take a pulse rate reading from another site on the
animal. If the sensor is placed correctly, the manual reading
should correspond to the pulse rate reading displayed on the
oximeter.
WARNING
Do not use the SpO
2
sensors if the packaging or the sensor
is damaged and return them to the vendor.
