6.6 EdgeTech Folder Reset
1. Connect to the bottle with tow cable or connect directly to the embedded CPU
via an Ethernet cable or through a network switch.
2. Apply power to the electronics.
3. With the unit running select Start → All Programs → Accessories →
Remote Desktop Connection on PC
4. Type 192.9.0.101 (embedded CPU address) and select Connect
5. If applicable enter the following credentials,
USER: administrator
PASSWORD: admin
6. Once on the embedded CPU Desktop you should see that SONAR.EXE has
been launched and is running. Close this application.
7. Right click on Start→ Explore all users.
8. On the left hand side of the new screen you will see a list of folders/drives
under a heading of Folders. Expand DATA (F:) and you should see a folder
called EdgeTech Backup. Enter this folder and copy the EdgeTech Folder.
9. Return to Folders select SONAR (D:), delete the current EdgeTech folder.
Right click on screen and paste the newly copied EdgeTech folder from
DATA (F:).
10. Attempt to re-launch SONAR.EXE from shortcut on desktop. If Sonar
launches successfully the Reset is complete.
6.7 FTP Server on SONAR CPU
To establish an FTP Server on the SONAR CPU, follow the steps below. Only perform this for
customers with a specific FTP requirement and have a hard drive installed on the local SONAR system.
1) Enter Remote Desktop via IP 192.9.0.101
2) Start -> Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Services. In the list locate FTP Publishing
and double click
3) In the “Startup Type” drop down select automatic, now click apply and then ok.
4) In the list locate IIS Admin and double click
5) In the “Startup Type” drop down select automatic, now click apply and then ok.
6) Start -> Administrative Tools -> Internet Information Services
7) SONAR (local Computer) -> FTP Sites -> Default FTP Site
