o the protective grounding of the connected machines is guaranteed;
o or if the connected machine is protected separately from over current or
error current and additionally grounded;
If the UPS is in a emergency power-off mode, you have to ensure that in case of
activation, the UPS output is not without current. The connected machines will
be supplied during the autonomy time.
8.4 Communicational connection of the UPS
A comfortable communicational connection is available for data exchange with
the UPS.
The RS232 interface allows remote control of the system via the delivery
included software.
Optionally interface cards as R2E (2. RS232 plus EPO), RSE (RS485 plus
EPO), USE (USB plus EPO), DCE (relay interface plus EPO) as well as
SNMP-cards can be used according to the instruction.
The interface-cards R2E, RSE and USE cannot be used at the same time.
The delivery included software-control compatible with the operating systems
Windows 98, 2000, ME, NT and XP. For other systems as Novell, NetWare,
Unix, Linux contact your local supplier.
If the optional interface-cards with integrated RS232 interface are used for
communication, the RS232 interface achieves for the control-commands the
highest priority, then the switch-off command with the DCE-card and also the
EPO signals, then the SNMP/WEB-card, then the R2E, RSE and the USE
achieve the lowest priority.
