Cleaning the Hook Area
Clean the hook area at least once a month.
Turn the power switch off and unplug the machine.
Remove the needle plate (refer to page 16).
Remove the needle and presser foot.
NOTE:
Do not dismantle the machine in any way other than
as explained in this section.

z Take out the bobbin and bobbin holder.

x Clean the bobbin holder with a lint brush.
Clean the feed dog and auto thread cutter device with
the lint brush.

c Clean the hook race with a soft cloth.
t Soft cloth
v Insert the bobbin holder so that the knob ts next to
the stopper in the hook race.
Insert the bobbin.
Attach the needle plate, presser foot and needle.
