HD400 Disk Processor Enclosure
12.0.3.4.1 Disassembling the Power Supply
1. Remove the top cover from the Power Supply by removing the four screws from the top and
sides of the power supply.
2. Remove main circuit board by doing the following:
a. Remove three screws.
b. Cut wires to the input power connector.
c. Lift Circuit Board from chassis.
3. To remove the three non-ferrous heat fins and three daughter cards (PCBs):
a. Remove each heat fin.
b. Remove the screws that secure the daughter cards, and remove from the main
circuit board.
4. To remove the three coils, (circled): Detach each coil.
a. Flip over the top PCB and unsolder the coil’s leads with a soldering iron.
b. Lift off each coil.
5. Cut the leads securing the large capacitor to the main circuit board and remove the large
capacitor.
6. Cut the power leads connected to the fan.
