5.6 Removing/Replacing the SRAM Battery
A lithium coin cell battery provides backup power for the SRAM and the real time clock.
The SRAM backup battery can last for up to 10,000 hours of cumulative operation, and
only runs if the main power system fails. You do not need to power down the unit to
replace the SRAM backup battery.
Important
• If the unit is ever powered down without the SRAM battery installed, SRAM data is
lost. Always back up your data before you remove the SRAM battery if you know that
main power will also be off.
• Replacement SRAM backup batteries must be either Rayovac
®
Model BR2335 or
Panasonic
®
Model BR2330.
Ensure the flow computer is in a non-hazardous area. Never open the enclosure in a
hazardous area.
EXPLOSION HAZARD: Do not disconnect equipment unless power has been removed or
the area is known to be non-hazardous.
EXPLOSION HAZARD: Substitution of any components may impair suitability for Class I,
Division 2.
EXPLOSION HAZARD: Do not replace batteries unless power has been switched off or the
area is known to be non-hazardous. Batteries must only be changed in an area known to
be non-hazardous.
1.

2.
