Chapter 1. Introduction
The Emerson FB3000 Remote Terminal Unit (RTU) runs measurement and control
applications suitable for the oil and gas, water, wastewater, and other process industries.
You can also purchase the FB3000 as an I/O-only device (FBxRemote I/O™) where control
runs in a separate host FB3000 RTU. This manual describes how to install and configure
the FB3000 hardware.
For information on using the FBxConnect™ configuration software, see the online help
that accompanies FBxConnect.
