4.1.1 Preparing Calibrations
Before performing calibrations it is essential
to tell the instrument the calibration gas con-
centrations.
Starting from the MEASUREMENT SCREEN
press down to open the MAIN MENU, enter
SETUP-CALIBRATION/VALIDATION and
directly enter GASES.
Enter the concentration values for zero and
span gases to be used for calibration:
• Values may be found on gas supplier‘s
certicates.
• Proper calibrations require proper gas
concentration entries!
• Multi-channel instruments require to enter
separate values for each channel.
Multi-channel unit:
Select the channel to be calibrated in SE-
LECT COMPONENT.

Gases..
Press left to return to CALIBRATION/VALI-
DATION, and then enter TOLERANCES.
By default the option ‚CalibDeviatTolerance‘
(deviation tolerance check during calibration)
is disabled (Off)
With ‚CalibDeviat Tolerance‘ set to On,
the analyzer checks during calibration
whether the values set for zero and span gas
conform to the concentration of the gas cur-
rently being supplied. If the concentrations
differ more than the percentage of range en-
tered in the following lines, the calibration is
aborted.This prevents calibration from being
performed when the incorrect gas is supplied
(e.g. span gas calibration using zero gas),
which would result in an incorrectly cong-
ured unit.
