Inlet and Outlet Pressures
Inlet Pressure/Configuration
The WP29 and WP32 pumps must maintain an inlet pressure greater than -5 psi (-35kPa gauge) at

Inlet A Inlet B Inlet C LIMIT
In the WP29 and WP32 Pump Inlet Pressure Map, three inlet configurations are illustrated. “Inlet A”
configuration represents an inlet that is very restrictive, and any pump operation above 3000 pump rpm
will violate the minimum inlet pressure requirement. The configuration will be forced to have a 3000
rpm pump speed limit. “Inlet B” is also restrictive, and will require the WP29 and WP32 pump speeds
to be limited to 3500 rpm, where “Inlet C” remains in the safe operating zone for all measured pump
speeds and has no special limitations.
If the application has low outlet restriction, the pump is current limited and may not be able to reach the
anticipated pump speed. This speed limitation is a result of the motor controller protecting the
electronics from a condition where excessive heat may build up in the controller.
