What to do if Epiroc COP M6 Construction Equipment impact mechanism does not operate?
    • J
      Justin DavisAug 9, 2025
If the impact mechanism on your Epiroc Construction Equipment isn't working, start by checking the air pressure and ensuring all air passages to the hammer are open. If that doesn't solve it, the issue might be poor lubrication. Try blowing operating air through the rotation spindle onto a dry plank; the plank should become oily after a few moments. Inspect the lubricator, topping it up with oil or increasing the oil dosage if needed. Other potential causes include excessive wear between the piston and casing or control tube, a hammer clogged with dirt, worn buffer rings in the cover, or a damaged O-ring in the bit bushing. In such cases, disassemble the hammer to inspect for wear, wash all components, or replace the buffer rings or O-ring as necessary.

Why Epiroc COP M6 lost drill bit and chuck?
    • R
      Robert JonesAug 23, 2025
Losing a drill bit and chuck with Epiroc Construction Equipment can happen if dirt enters the hammer during drilling in water-bearing formations. Ensure the check valve seals against the seat in the back-head. You may need to remove the backhead and replace the check valve. Another reason could be operating the impact mechanism without right-hand rotation. Always use right-hand rotation when drilling and lifting the drill string. Use a fishing tool to retrieve the lost equipment.
