Determining the type of Error
The problems you may have while using the scanner often
involve the operation of your software and computer. Problems
fall into the following categories:

Incorrect setup of the interface

Inappropriate selection of the scanner functions

Incorrect setup of your computer or software

Incorrect operation of your software
If an error occurs, see the scanner’s indicator lights and the
table below to determine what kind of error it is. Then see the
appropriate section below the table to determine the correct
solution to the error. If the information in the appropriate
section below the table does not help you solve the problem,
see “Problems and Solutions” on page 4-4.
Also see the documentation that came with your software,
computer, and printer for possible solutions.
Indicator lights
If an error occurs, the scanner stops operating and the READY
and ERROR lights show the type of error.
