How to fix Epson Printer that cannot configure the network interface?
    • L
      lisabradyAug 15, 2025
If you're having trouble configuring the network interface or printing from the network with your Epson Printer, first check if you can print a status sheet. If you can, the issue might be with the network settings. If you cannot print a status sheet, set the interface mode of the printer’s control panel to Auto or Option.

Why Model Name and IP Address do not appear in EpsonNet Config dialog box for Epson Printer?
    • M
      Molly Stone MDAug 18, 2025
If the Model Name and IP Address do not appear in the EpsonNet Config dialog box for your Epson Printer, it might be because a valid IP address isn't set. To resolve this, set a valid IP address. Then, refresh the status by selecting Refresh from the View menu. You can also increase the timeout length by selecting Options from the Tool menu, and then selecting Timeout, but be aware that this might slow down EpsonNet Config.

What to do if Epson Printer cannot print even with assigned IP address?
    • Z
      zacharyhallAug 21, 2025
If you cannot print with your Epson Printer even after assigning IP addresses to both the computer and the printer, it might be because the printer's IP address was assigned automatically (APIPA) while the computer's was assigned manually. Ensure the printer’s IP address belongs to the same segment as the computer by using EpsonNet Config and the printer’s control panel.

Why does EpsonNet Config say no network is installed?
    • D
      darrellpetersenAug 25, 2025
If you see the message “EpsonNet Config cannot be used because no network is installed” when starting EpsonNet Config for your Epson Printer, it means either TCP/IP and IPX/SPX are not installed on your computer, or TCP/IP is installed but its IP address isn't set correctly. Install the TCP/IP or IPX/SPX protocol, or set a correct IP address for your computer.

Why dial-up connection box appears when printing with EpsonNet Print?
    • J
      Jesus SmithAug 27, 2025
If a dial-up connection dialog box appears when printing with TCP/IP via EpsonNet Print on your Epson Printer, it means you've likely selected a phone line or modem for the Internet connection. While printing will complete after you cancel the dialog, the message will reappear with each print job. To resolve this, connect to the Internet using a local area network or manually start a dial-up network.

What to do if Epson Printer shows “Could not complete communicating configuration data”?
    • K
      Kimberly JohnsonAug 31, 2025
If the message “Could not complete communicating configuration data” appears when sending settings to the network interface of your Epson Printer, especially when using a dial-up router, run Command Prompt from the computer where EpsonNet Config is installed. Then, enter the command: `ROUTE ADD the IP address of the network interface the IP address of the computer`. For example: `ROUTE ADD 192.168.192.168 22.33.44.55`.

    • P
      Patricia FosterSep 2, 2025
If you're unable to start EpsonNet Config for your Epson Printer, it's possible that you added or deleted protocols after installing EpsonNet Config. To fix this, uninstall EpsonNet Config and then reinstall it.

Why communication error appears when printing or opening Epson Printer properties?
    • L
      Logan GallegosSep 5, 2025
If a communication error message appears when you start printing or open the printer’s properties for your Epson Printer, it's because EPSON Status Monitor cannot be used when printing with NetBEUI or IPP. To resolve this, open the printer’s properties, click the Optional Settings tab, and select the Update the Printer Option Information manually radio button. Also, in the Optional Settings tab, click the Notice Settings button and clear the Monitor the Printing Status check box.

Why extra account is generated when using dial-up network with Epson Printer?
    • J
      John HinesSep 8, 2025
If an extra account is generated when using the dial-up network with your Epson Printer, it means NetWare is set to Enable even though you're not using NetWare. To resolve this, set NetWare to Disable on the NetWare screen of EpsonNet Config with Web Browser.

Why only administrator can print via Windows NT Server 4.0 on Epson ?
    • K
      Kimberly MurraySep 12, 2025
If, with your Epson Printer, only the administrator can print via Windows NT Server 4.0, it's likely that CREATOR OWNER has been deleted from the Printer Permissions list, or it's set to Print or No Access. To fix this, add CREATOR OWNER by clicking the Add button in the Printer Permissions dialog box, or set CREATOR OWNER to Manage Documents (the default setting).
